On Sunday evening I was lucky enough to attend Sheena Grobb’s cd release for her third album, The Breakless Heart. I’ve never seen her live in concert before, and I was absolutely blown away. The new album sounds amazing, and it was great to hear some songs from previous albums as well, as I hadn’t previously listened to more than one or two songs.
It’s pretty amazing to see a local artist be on her third album, but what’s even more amazing is that this album was actually mastered by Abbey Road Studios in London, England. You can listen to a sample of her single “The Breakless Heart” here.
She is just an incredible musician and I encourage everyone to check out her second show on Wednesday, September 17 at the West End Cultural Centre. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com
